第三十 五章 後接間接受詞的形容詞和動詞
Today we want to look at the various words which demand the use of a Dative. Dative indicate to whom or from whom something is done or affected. One such verb that we have seen so far is the verb do dare dedi datus to give. There are certain adjectives which demand the use of a dative case. The following adjectives are the most common adjectives.
本章要學習某些特殊用字，這類字詞之後要接用間接受詞。間接受詞指 出某事乃是針對某人而做、或某事承受來自某人的 影響。我們先前學過動詞do dare dedi datus to give（給予）一字，此字之後即要接用間接受詞。拉丁文中也有一些形容詞要接用間接受詞，以下為常用的此類形容詞。
接用間接受詞的形容詞：
Amicus a um friendly to 對 友善
Inimicus a um unfriendly to 對 不 友善
Similes simile similar to 和 相似
Dissimilis dissimile dissimilar to 和 不相似
Fidelis fidele faithful to 忠於
Carus a um dear to 對 親密
Par equal to 相等於
These in no way exhaust the list. They are just the most common.

I also mention that there are certain verbs which are followed by the dative. The following list should be learned for they are very common words.
先前亦提過某些動詞之後要接用間接受詞，以下為常用的此類動詞。
Credo credere credidi creditus to believe 相信
Ignosco ignoscere ignovi ignotum to pardon 原諒
Impero imperare imperavi imperatus to command 要求，命令
Noceo nocere nocui nocitum to injure 傷害
Pareo parere parui to be obedient to 服從
Persuadeo persuadere persuasi to persuade 勸服，說服
Placeo placere placui to be pleasing to 取悅，使高興
Studeo studere studui to direct ones zeal to 研究，投注精力於
In addition to these datives often occur with verb compounds. These are verbs which add preposition to themselves as prefixes to form a new word. The preposition usually employed are the following:
除了上述，間接受詞常和復合動詞同時出現。復合動詞為取介係詞為字首再加上動詞本字而形成的新動詞。常用的此類介係詞如下：
Ad to or toward 通往，朝向
Ante before 在 之前
Cum, con, com, coll with 和 一起
In in or on 在 之內，在 之上
Inter between 在 和 之間
Post after 在 之後
Pro for 為了
Sub under 在 之下
Super above 在 之上
Again this is not an exhaustive list. It is just the most common preposition used. As you learn more vocabulary, these lists, as all list do, will increase in length.
